Friends 🧑‍🍳🙏 No words can describe my gratitude to Charlotte Business Journal Charlotte Business Journal for honoring me among our city’s 100 visionaries. 👑❤️

🚶🏻Following my gut, my heart, and my faith hasn’t always been easy.

🍰 Thinking of creating a Tres Leches Cake against tradition and culture- to make my own cake, my own flavor was not easy.

💪 Facing the fears from my own team, family, and customers, just knowing that our bakery is one of the best in the country.

🇺🇸 Bringing the pain of my immigrant community to light for a broken system that has not changed in 40 years has been a path just guided by God.

🤝 As my friend Charlie reminded me the other day- Manolo, this fight is not about the inhumanity of the system; it is always to remember the humanity of your people.

I love this nation; however, my love for Charlotte is immeasurable because, in the end, the soul of my Queen City is in the million angels who live in this city.

🪽 A million angels who, every day, have given me the love to be the Visionary that our God has decided I should be.
I love you, Charlotte.

🧑‍🍳 Well, we are closing this beautiful week. In 🇨🇴 I was very emotional, very touched, because I am in my home country, the place where I was born. Was amazing to bring Aid and hope.

We’re seeing all the love from my people, my country, and my community. 🙌 Thank you Chocó, Pereira and Manizales.

Tough to start in Choco. The need is huge over there. (Earthquake Relief)

But we are closing this week in our humanitarian mission with all the families, the kids; all of them have been victims of the Earthquake in Colombia They are no longer in their houses.

Some of them were in shelters. They live now in a relative’s house or in a garage.

And so we still need help. Thank you for supporting Nonprofit

To all of you, to all of Charlotte, to every single one who has donated to us, thank you, thank you so much.

In the name of my people, in the name of Colombia, please keep donating, please keep helping us, please keep supporting us, please keep supporting my immigrant hands, because this is just the beginning of something huge.

🧑‍🍳Good morning, America. 🇺🇸 🤝🇨🇴 Yesterday was day number two here in I’m reporting. It is local. We were here in Quibdo at the capital of Chocó. We went to see local bakeries. 🥖

The damage to some of them is huge.

The biggest challenge is their rent, and there is nothing that we can do to fix their buildings. But we are thinking about how we will support them when they have to close the bakery for a month, two months, three months; we are working on whether the building has to be fixed.

Also, we drove through a lot of properties that were totally demolished and no longer exist.

The need is huge.
