The Asbury Modern Southern dining at The Dunhill Hotel in uptown Charlotte In 1929, the Charlotte architect designed what is now The Dunhill Hotel.

The Asbury restaurant, nestled in the lobby of the city’s only historic boutique hotel, is named in honor of Louis Asbury, Sr. Today, our modern Southern restaurant honors the past, celebrates the seasons, and looks forward with celebrated chef Tim Groody at the helm.

The Asbury sits one block from Belk Theater, so there's time for a full dinner before curtain without the rush. Complimentary parking is available in the Fifth Third Bank garage behind The Dunhill Hotel, and Blumenthal ticket holders get a special overnight rate at The Dunhill if you want to make a night of it.

Three courses in, you'll have a suspect and a theory, and you'll probably be wrong about both. "Evil on the Beach" brings a 1928 whodunit to The Dunhill on Saturday, September 12, and we're cooking the dinner that carries you through it. Question suspects, work the case alongside the Detective, and eat well while you're at it. Dinner begins at 6 p.m.

$389 per couple, includes the murder mystery, dinner, an overnight stay, breakfast for two, and complimentary parking.
