They say all good things must come to an end… but this is NOT one of those times! This IS however a time to press pause.
MCDA had plans to continue operating as usual through the summer and then begin the transition to our next phase this fall. Unfortunately, sometimes it doesn’t work out the way you plan. There are things just beyond our control… but we’re going to make the most of this opportunity. When life hands you lemons (and limes) it’s time to add tequila and make margaritas!
So effective today, MCDA will close inside at our current location. But don’t worry, this is not permanent; we will reopen! Just not exactly in the same place. We are transitioning the ENTIRE restaurant onto the patio next door (also known as The Margarita Garden) to bring a unique indoor/outdoor dining experience to the Charleston area. So hang with us while we transform and evolve into something fresh, new, and hopefully, better than before.
While we work on this move, our patio is still open to rent as a private event space and MCDA is still available for catering! Message us on Facebook if you’d like MCDA to cater your next event or would like to book the patio as an event space! You can even bring in an approved outside caterer to our patio!
To the staff, you’ve hung in there through all the ups and downs. You are each incredibly loyal, dedicated, and will always be members of the MCDA family regardless of whether you return for our next phase. Until then, we wish you the best on your future endeavors and will happily recommend you to any future employers.
To our fans and patrons, thank you for choosing to dine with us and support us. We hope you welcome this opportunity for change, as we have, and we will get to see your friendly faces again when we reopen. Until then, when you are craving some of your MCDA favorites, please consider us for your catering needs.
And finally to Frank Gonzales III and Julia Higginbotham Gonzales, thank you for your continued support, faith, and trust. We hope when you come back to visit WV, you’ll come see us!
