Review: Wowowow. Thank you to our legendary International Mom & Pop Chattanooga Regional Manager and head scout Gabriele Wiegand Cheney (aka my mom!) on this recommendation! She saw it in Tim Moore awesome Instagram page! This is as good as anything I have had in NYC, Flushing, Chicago, etc. I was so pleasantly surprised to have THIS experience in Chattanooga! Highly recommended. The noodles are hand made in a window so you can watch. The staff is incredibly nice and hospitable. And more importantly the dumpings, broth and noodles were all spectacular!! Thank you, Mutti, and thank you, Tim, for doing what you do!

Note: THANK YOU, Sunny! Please follow Always Sunny Kimchi Sunny and I both lived in Atlanta and we have a strong respect for the magic of Buford Highway and the internationalscene in Atlanta. I try to eat quick & healthy when driving from Charleston to Chattanooga. That usually means something Asian. I almost always ask Sunny before I go if she knows of anything I need to hit. She has put me on maybe 10 incredible experiences to date. This one was up there as a tops... I was the only non-Korean. What a great feeling. Order via a kiosk, no tipping, Korean grandmothers giggling behind the counter, spotlessly clean... I order... I get my chopsticks, napkins, scissors, etc and then I see a hot coffee dispenser and I assume it is warm barley water or tea. I get a glass and sit at a table. I take a sip. It is hot broth. What?? People are sipping on hot broth. Sounds odd, but it was an amazing broth. The vegetable dumplings were equivalent to the best I have had. The cold noodles were an adventure. Not my thing at first, and by the end I was so stuffed and yet trying to eat one more bite afraid to part ways with the dish. Such an incredible, and nonchalant experience. Healthy, clean, fast!

Hey guys! 👋 I wish I had a better update, but my permit is taking longer than I expected. After months of preparing—getting my LLC, retail license, ServSafe certification, finding a commercial kitchen, and additional documents for special food—I thought I was almost at the finish line….. but I found out that because kimchi is a fermented food, I now have to send four different batches to Clemson University for pH level testing. That process alone will take at least another month. I know it’s all about food safety, so I’m staying patient and taking it one step at a time. In the meantime, I may do a few Korean food pop-ups with friends while I wait. I can’t wait to officially open and share my kimchi with you all! Thank you so much for supporting my journey. ❤️

This is not a "help me" post or anything more than a simple sample of respect for what our entire management team considers to be one of the most important restaurants in the tri-county area. Without this restaurant and marketplace... we would be so very devoid of European culture and cuisine. If you have not been yet then I am jealously excited. And if you have been then you know, and it would nice to see you leave a short comment below or share this post. Please, please support this mom & pop business. They are an absolute integral piece of the global restaurant scene in the Charleston area. I cannot recommend a single dish, because every dish is so well done. Go.
