The story began with Me, Julie, and a Truck…
Originally from Brooklyn, NY, I started working with pizza at the age of 15 years old while living in Long Island and then moved to Charleston, SC, where I quickly fell in love and put down roots. The one thing I longed for after relocating was traditional pizza. So I took a leap of faith and opened up a food truck. The demand was so great that the rest

is history. New York-style pizza isn’t just about cooking; it’s about deep-seated tradition and culture. At Pizza A Modo Mio, we offer dough straight from New York prepared in a traditional pizza oven and serve it up by the slice, and that means all varieties! Where we differ is in our commitment to fresh ingredients, our desire to bring the best of New York to Charleston, and our passion for the original pizza pie. We hope that with just one bite of our pizza by the slice, or traditional 18”, you’ll be catapulted to one of our favorite places on earth – The Big Apple. So are you ready to delve into a little slice (and ice!) of heaven? Dig in!

Two new ambassador appointments show how opportunity follows involvement. There's a reason so many of the pizza industry's biggest brands turn to U.S. Pizza Team members when they're looking for ambassadors. They want talented pizza makers, but they also need people who can teach, troubleshoot and r...

There are a lot of awards, trophies, and recognitions that I’ve been fortunate enough to receive throughout my career, but this one hits differently.

Being recognized by VFW Post 3137 with the Americanism Award is something that means more to me than any award I’ve ever received.

As a small business owner, I’ve always believed that success isn’t measured by how many pizzas you sell, how many locations you open, or how many competitions you win. Success is measured by the impact you have on the people around you and the community you serve.

Our veterans, active military members, and first responders make sacrifices every single day that most of us will never fully understand. They put service before self, protect our freedoms, keep our communities safe, and answer the call when others need help. Because of them, families can sleep peacefully at night and businesses like mine have the opportunity to pursue the American Dream.

Supporting those who serve has never been about recognition for me. It’s about gratitude. It’s about giving back to the men and women who have given so much for all of us.

Whether it’s supporting local veterans organizations, first responders, community events, schools, or charitable causes, Pizza A Modo Mio will always do its best to be more than just a pizza shop. We want to be a business that genuinely cares about the people who make our community special.

I want to thank VFW Post 3137 for this incredible honor. I am truly humbled and grateful. This award belongs just as much to my amazing team, my wife Julie, our loyal customers, and everyone who supports our mission to give back.

Thank you to all of our veterans, active military members, police officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, and first responders. We appreciate your sacrifice, your dedication, and your service more than words can express.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Good evening everyone,

I wanted to take a minute to update and educate all of our amazing customers and followers on something that is extremely important to us at Pizza A Modo Mio, our dough.

Many of you may have noticed the disclaimer on our website and heard the message on our phone system explaining that once we run out of dough for the day, we unfortunately will not have more until the following day. I wanted to explain why and help everyone understand the process a little more.

Our dough is not something we can just make in a few hours. We ferment our dough for 48 hours and that process is a huge part of what makes our pizza what it is. The fermentation helps with the flavor, texture, crispiness, proper cook and even the digestibility of the pizza. This is all science and true pizza making. This is how you achieve a light crust with a great cook and the quality that we stand behind every single day.

Each one of our locations is a little different depending on refrigeration and storage space. As humbled and excited as we are from all the recurring business and support we have been receiving, there is physically only so much 48 hour fermented dough we can make ahead of time, especially on Fridays and Saturdays.

It’s not about what our ovens can handle or manpower. It literally comes down to how much properly fermented dough we can produce and store each day. There are simply more of you than there is dough sometimes, and honestly that is a blessing that we are extremely thankful for.

Please know we are actively working on strategic plans to increase our production and storage capabilities so we can carry more ready to use 48 hour fermented dough and continue giving everyone the best experience possible during our busiest nights.

We truly appreciate everyone’s patience, understanding, love and continued support while we continue growing. Seeing the support from the Charleston community at all three of our locations means the world to my family and our
