Thank you Small Town USA. We appreciate it.
In Charleston, West Virginiaβ¦Hardingβs Family Restaurant is the kind of country-style spot where the meals are hearty, the service feels personal, and the whole place has the easy comfort of a longtime local favorite. Open since 1980, this family-owned restaurant has built its name on home-cooked favorites like baked steak, chicken and dumplings, liver and onions, country fried steak, and breakfast served all day with pancakes and warm syrup. It sits at 2772 Pennsylvania Avenue, right off I-79 Exit 1, and it has a gift shop inside the restaurant, plenty of free parking, truck and bus parking, and a banquet room for private gatherings. Hardingβs celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2020, and co-owner Angela Harding told MetroNews the restaurant had served more than 10 million meals during those four decades. The relaxed, down-home setting is a big part of the draw, with a little country store filled with nostalgic gifts and snacks. Save room for dessert, because the graham cracker pie and hot fudge cake are two of the favorites people still talk about long after they leave.
