To our Waffle Sensations family,

After a lot of prayer, reflection, and countless conversations, we’ve made the difficult decision to close our current restaurant location.

This isn’t goodbye.

This is a reset.

Entrepreneurship has a way of teaching you lessons that no classroom ever could. Over the last few years, we’ve celebrated incredible highs, faced difficult challenges, met amazing people, and built memories we’ll carry with us forever. Every customer who walked through our doors, every family who shared a meal with us, and every word of encouragement has become part of our story.

We’re choosing to take this next season to reset, recharge, refocus, and reflect.

Sometimes taking one step back is exactly what allows you to take ten steps forward.

Our vision has never changed.

We still believe in creating a place where families can gather, laugh, celebrate, and make memories over great food. We still believe in our mission. We still believe in this dream.

In fact, we believe the best chapter of Waffle Sensations hasn’t even been written yet.

The dream isn’t dead… If anything, it’s just getting started.

Thank you for every order, every share, every kind word, and every moment you’ve spent with us.

We’ll see you again.

WHEN EVERYTHING GOES WRONG!

Some days in business feel like everything is working in your favor.

Other days… everything seems to go wrong.

Today was one of those days.

The A/C stopped working. The Wi-Fi went down. Water started leaking into the restaurant. One problem turned into another, and after doing everything we could, we had to make the difficult decision to close for the day.

No business owner wants to lock the doors and send customers away.
It’s frustrating. It’s expensive. And it’s easy to let moments like these steal your excitement.

But here’s what I’ve learned.

Success isn’t built on the days when everything goes right.
It’s built on the days when everything goes wrong—and you choose to keep showing up anyway.

Every business has challenges that customers never see. Every family faces moments when things don’t go according to plan. The difference isn’t avoiding those moments. The difference is deciding they won’t define your story.
Tomorrow we’ll unlock the doors again.

We’ll keep serving great food.

We’ll keep building.

Because one difficult day doesn’t erase years of hard work, and one setback doesn’t stop the vision.

If you’re going through your own difficult season today, whether it’s in business, at work, or at home, remember this:

Setbacks are part of the story—not the end of it.

Don’t Ignore the Small Things!

Sometimes we spend so much time waiting for a big opportunity that we completely overlook the small moments trying to lead us there.

Years ago, I was just going through another normal day when I noticed something simple—a small sticker on the back of a car.

It read:
Manning, South Carolina.

Most people would’ve looked at it for a second and forgotten about it.
I couldn’t.

In an instant, I was transported back to being a little kid spending my summers in my grandmother’s bakery. I could picture the building, remember the smells, the people, and the feeling of watching something special being built by our family.
That one little sticker made me remember a dream I didn’t even realize I had forgotten.

I couldn’t stop thinking about it.
That night I started researching.
Then I kept researching.
Eventually I bought a tent.
The tent became a food truck.
The food truck became a restaurant.

And today, we’re building something much bigger than waffles.
We’re building a place where families make memories together.
Looking back, it’s amazing to think that none of this may have happened if I hadn’t noticed one tiny sticker on the back of someone’s car.

Life has a funny way of speaking to us.

Sometimes it isn’t through a huge breakthrough.
Sometimes it isn’t through a life-changing conversation.
Sometimes it’s a song.

A photo.

A smell.

A phone call.

A memory.

Or a little sticker on the back of a car.
The problem is that we’re often moving so fast that we miss what those moments are trying to tell us.

So here’s my encouragement this week:
Pay attention.

Don’t overlook the little things.
That random conversation may become your next business.
That book someone recommends may change your mindset.
That opportunity that seems too small may open a door you never imagined.
Purpose doesn’t always arrive with fireworks.

Sometimes it whispers.
I’m thankful I listened.
Because one small reminder didn’t just bring back a memory.
It changed my life.

And maybe today, there’s something small in your life trying to change yours.
