Traditions worth keeping are built by people worth remembering.
We recently found out that a $1 million gift has been made to the Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Foundation in honor of Ivan "Ike" Kennard and his wife, Joan, by their daughter Marlys Fallen and son-in-law Carl Fallen.
For generations of Charleston residents, EIU students, alumni, athletes, and visitors, Ike and Jo helped create something special. Their impact reached far beyond the walls of Ike's, touching countless lives throughout our community.
Thanks to this incredible gift, their legacy will continue through expanded healthcare services that will benefit families across our region for years to come.
We're honored to carry the Ike's name and grateful for the example Ike and Jo set through their dedication to this community.
