We hope everyone enjoyed their Memorial Day! We loaded up the smoker with some rarely seen items . The simple stuff…Wings & thangs. Even though We are so eager to open we can’t help but start thinking of getting our ‘que shop open again. If anyone hears of a solid brick building we could pony our beast up to please let us know!

Hello, BOMBOLO!
Same owners, different menu, different location.

BIG BELLY QUE has CLOSED at the Blue Dogwood Market.
We are now ready to reveal to the world of Facebook that the beautiful building currently under construction at 104 N. Graham St will open this late spring as BOMBOLO.

BOMBOLO will be distinguished by impressive sandwiches on fresh bread at lunch, and an array of exquisite fresh egg pasta dishes, tasty small plates, and a few delicious mains at dinner. Excellent sweets and good wines, too. All the things we like. No particular cuisine. Garret and I have both felt a wee bit confined by the parameters of bbq, and look forward to flexing our culinary muscles and creativity in a new setting.
We will open as soon as we can. Late spring is possible.

We've enjoyed preparing Chapel Hill's only wood smoked bbq for two and an half years. We look forward to offering a delightful addition to the Midway district dining in the near future. BBQ will return!

This weeks pre-order pick up meal!

Tortellini in brodo: Roast chicken, prosciutto, veal & Parmesan poached in a roast duck broth.

Turkey Porchetta: crispy skinned rolled turkey breast stuffed with chard & pine nuts, olive oil smashed potatoes, sherried jus & radicchio caponata

Clementine & almond torte.

We also have some flash frozen packages of house made tortellini with vegetarian stuffings as well. Stay safe & stay fed.

Delivery to Chapel Hill and Carrboro on Friday and Saturday evening. Check out our website to order.
