Dear Friends,

“While we will not be reopening City Kitchen due to unfavorable lease negotiations, we are grateful to the community for supporting this beautiful American brasserie since 2012, and for the opportunity to have served in this location for almost two decades -- including the decade prior with Spice Street. It has been a pleasure to share our hospitality and create memories here at City Kitchen.

While we will no longer be in this location, we continue to serve our Chapel Hill community safely and with superior food, wine and service at Bin 54 Steak & Cellar, and look forward to reopening Kipos very soon in its’ new Eastgate Crossing Shopping Center location!

Morning all - the governor of NC announced today that all restaurants in the state must close their dining rooms. Per that direction, City Kitchen will remain closed.

We will keep everyone updated, as we learn more. Thanks so much for your patience. Let's just remember that this is TEMPORARY. We will get through this!! ✊

Morning all! We know we promised some really exciting updates this morning – but in light of the recent situation, we don’t feel that it’s right to unveil but we’ve been working on at this time. We’re hopeful that we’ll be able to share in the excitement with you all in the coming weeks, but in the meantime please know that we are still OPEN.

However, that could change at any moment – so please keep an eye on our social media channels - Facebook and Instagram () for real time updates.

At this time, we are reserving the bar space and our patio (as long as the weather is nice!) for our guests to enjoy drinks and food, if you feel comfortable.

We understand that it’s a difficult time for all right now, but if you are in need of getting out of the house to breathe some fresh air for a moment - please do stop by and grab a cocktail. We’ll be here.

Oh, and if you do...you may notice some new changes to our menu… 👀 That’s all we’ll say about it for now! 😊Thanks to everyone for your patience - we look forward to serving you today and in the near future!
