Happy New Year!!! I know it’s been a while...
Just over three years, if you wanted to put a number on it. When I first stepped away, I had hoped it would be a short hiatus, but life doesn't necessarily always go the way we want it to. Honestly, my past few years have been about survival, recovery, and learning how to live in a body that needed more care than I’d been giving it.
I’m coming back now, not because everything is “fixed," but because I feel like I've gained enough knowledge about myself to be able to share again from a place that feels safe and sustainable. Things are going to be different than they were before - because I'm different than I was before. So, without further ado, this page is entering a new chapter!
I'd like to introduce 🥁 drumroll please 🥁

What hasn’t changed:
• My love for cooking and baking (mostly baking!)
• The joy I get from sharing good food
• The recipes that have been created, tested, and loved to death in my own kitchen
What will be changing:
• The pace
• The pressure
• The expectation that this space has to be anything other than what I need it to be
Black Apron Cottage Kitchen will be a place for fun, tasty, and guilt-free cooking and baking! Starting with the sweets you already know me for (yes, the cookie dough and brookies are making a comeback!)
You’ll also see the occasional meal idea for tired humans who still want something good to eat.
No hustle.
Tons of grace.
Just feeding ourselves and the people we love, as we are, where we are.
