Watson's is a fine-casual chicken shack and bar, specializing in fried and rotisserie style chicken, but more specifically the Nashville Hot Chicken. This delectable chicken is supplemented with our house made biscuits and pie, seasonal sides, and our chef-driven appetizers and specials. To help wash down this tasty food we have hand selected a multitude of craft beers and spirits--not to mention

our creative cocktail and slushy concoctions are not to be over looked. And, for the night owls out there, we will be featuring live performances from local and aspiring musicians in the bluegrass, blues, funk, country, folk & Americana genres. By capitalizing on the national food trend towards a more sustainable and transparent food system, we hope to contribute to our local food-ways by supporting regional agriculture, educating our consumers about sustainable farm practices, and provide an example by which affordable food can be made with higher standards of quality and integrity.

First Illini game of the year! We have a second location in the Horseshoe, near section 117. The menu will be a tad different there, we're serving our Bavarian Pretzel in stick form, only available at the Horseshoe. Waffle Fry Nachos will only be available at our original location at Section 130 in the West Hall. Tenders and all the other stuff will be at both. Come see us if you're at the game!

We're having a party to celebrate the life and career of Dolly Parton at the Shack this Friday! We'll listen to her music and watch her films, and even bring the shrine out of the women's bathroom so all can see! The United Way of Champaign County will be in attendance to provide info and fundraise for the Dolly Parton Imagination Library. Did you know our local United Way has managed it in Champaign and Douglas Counties since 2023, where they have nearly 3500 children signed up? Just $27 provides a year's worth of books to a child!

We open at 11, we’ll be playing music and movies all day, but United Way of Champaign County will be there from 6-8pm to give info about Dolly’s Imagination Library. If you can’t be there at that time, we’ll have information and ways for you to donate all day.
