This is a hard one to write.
It is with deep sadness that we share with you that we will be closing the doors of Daro Coffee Company.
This decision has been one of the hardest of my life and has been made through much prayer and deep tears.
If you have been with us for awhile, you know we share Jesus. Jesus is the most important thing in our life and sharing the hope of the cross with everyone is always our mission.
With that, as we strive to listen to the Lord and His plan He has for our family, we have felt for some time that the direction we are being lead is to slow down. We feel, at this time, that God is calling us to take a step back from several areas in our life and focus on our family.
The “chase”, the “ladder”, the “grind” are all beautiful, fulfilling things in life but, priorities and focus can quickly become clouded when you forget why you’re here in the first place. When we forget that eternal things are what should be stored up and not the physical things of this world.
We still have quite a big dream for Daro Coffee Company that we are going to keep in our pocket for now and pray that, in the right timing, if the Lord wills, God will guide us in those steps of growth.
With that, we will NOT be selling our business but will actually keep our website open with an online store where you can still buy our beans. We will be selling our trailer in the next few months once we have done a final maintenance on it. We will share that here first.
Our final day open in Piatt County will be March 7th at JTA Foods and Grill from 7:00am-1:00pm and the final day in Champaign County will be March 11th (time TBA) at Judah Christian School on Prospect Ave. as a fundraiser for their school.
There are not enough words in the English vocabulary to express our gratitude to each and every one of you. You are not just “customers” but have become friends. None of this exists without you. Thank you for every lotus drink and latte purchase. Thank you for every merch drop you sold out and for every school and business that invited us to serve you. Thank you for your genuine care for us and deep conversation, that’s what this is about.
To my girls, you are everything. The laughter, the crazy videos, the deep talks, the “truck vault” conversations. Thank you. Thank you for everything you’ve done, and everything you are. I’m eternally grateful for each of you.
With Sincere Gratitude,
Cortney
