Ms. Mundt and Mr. Warner have been some of our favorite repeat guests. It feels like we are in the presence of royalty when they decide to stop by! That’s why we’d love to join in on celebrating them by offering a free martini to anyone who comes by Saturday wearing their maroon and white! One per person. Available Saturday, August 8th, 3pm-9pm.

As many of you know, Chalmette High School is celebrating the retirements of three remarkable educators whose dedication and service have left an immeasurable impact on our school and our entire community.

Mr. Wayne Warner officially retired earlier this school year after more than 50 years of dedicated service to the students of Chalmette High School, concluding his career as Principal Emeritus. Ms. Carole Mundt also retired after announcing her decision following the CHS graduation ceremony in May, bringing to a close a distinguished career marked by unwavering dedication, compassionate leadership, and an enduring commitment to the students, faculty, and families of Chalmette High School. Joining them in retirement is Ms. Doris Voitier, whose years of commitment and service have also made a lasting difference in the lives of countless students, faculty, and families in St. Bernard Parish.

Together, these three educators have devoted decades of their lives to Chalmette High School, and we invite you to join us in celebrating their extraordinary careers and the legacy they leave behind.

To honor their extraordinary service and lasting impact on our school and community, the Chalmette High School Alumni Association, in partnership with CHS Administration and the Meraux Foundation at Docville, is proud to invite you to a retirement reception celebrating Mr. Warner, Ms. Mundt, and Ms. Voitier.

Retirement Reception
Saturday, August 8, 2026
2:00–5:00 p.m.
Docville Farm

This will be a casual, open-house style reception where faculty, staff, alumni, students, families, and members of the community are invited to stop by at any time during the afternoon. Guests are encouraged to come share memories, offer their congratulations, take photos, and wish Mr. Warner, Ms. Mundt, and Ms. Voitier all the best in their well-earned retirement.

The event will be informal, with light refreshments provided through the generosity of local businesses and community partners. Attendees can come and go as they please and are asked to wear their maroon and white.
