11 years ago, Batuqui started with a dream, a small house on Larchmere, and recipes made with love in Carla and Gustavo in their home kitchen. What began as a cozy space to welcome people “like friends coming over” became a piece of home for so many in Cleveland.
Today, we celebrate 11 years of Brasilian food, music, culture, friendships, and unforgettable memories. Thank you to everyone who has supported us since day one — our community is the heart of Batuqui. ❤️🇧🇷

Join us for our Live Blues & Jazz Night at Batuqui Larchmere ❤️ from 6 PM to 9 PM, featuring Joe Hunter (piano) and Tim Matson (guitar).
Veterans of the Northeast Ohio music scene, Tim and Joe formed their duo in the summer of 2023. Together, they deliver fresh interpretations of jazz and blues classics from the 1930s through the 1970s, along with soulful takes on pop favorites.
