The Olympic Club has been a point of power, intrigue and contention since opening in 1908. Its name evokes heroic gods of ancient Herculean characters, the exploits of whom are now the stuff of modern legend. McMenamins has expanded upon the Olympic Club's traditional definition of a workingman's resort by welcoming the whole family to enjoy lodging, meals, movies, art, history, sport and special events. There are some stories from the Olympic Club that are hard to explain, or the explanation isn't convincing enough...

Like the time an employee came up from the basement, only to return a few minutes later and find all the extra chairs neatly stacked.

A manager claimed he did it.

The problem? No one believed that he went downstairs. They just believe he was trying to keep everyone calm...

Oktoberfest Specials are happening September 18th–October 3rd! 🍻

We’ve got German-style food and drink specials, including Currywurst & Fries, the Oktoberfest Plate, Little Bavaria Chicken Sandwich, Black Forest Bundt Cake, Deer & a B**r, and Wunderpop Dirty Soda.

Basically, we found an excellent excuse to eat sausages, drink b**r, and call it Oktoberfest.

Walter Neary will dig into the story of Fort Steilacoom, what happened after it closed, and how local historians worked to bring its history back to light.
