🍂 WELL… MOTHER NATURE GOT THE MEMO! 🍂

Fall officially arrived, and apparently Mother Nature had it marked on her calendar. 😂 After all that summer heat, the first days of fall actually feel like fall!

And you know what cooler weather means at Jerry’s…

☀️ Let’s bid a not-so-fond farewell to these HOT summer temperatures and welcome the official start of fall!

Apparently, Mother Nature didn’t get the memo yet. 😂 But no matter what the thermometer says, Tammy says it’s pumpkin season—so her Pumpkin Cheesecake is back, joining all your other favorite homemade flavors! 🎃🍰

Chef Doug will also be doing what he does best: cutting steaks by hand, frying up our famous chicken, and serving those pasta dishes that just keep getting more and more popular. If fall refuses to show up outside, we’ll just serve it by the slice inside!

Come enjoy one last week of summer—and maybe give it a firm handshake, a polite goodbye, and directions out of town. 👋🥵

It is with very heavy hearts that we say goodbye to a wonderful friend of Jerry’s, Leona Stover.

For many years, Leona was a familiar face around here on Friday nights, coming in to enjoy dinner with her friend Doris. She wasn’t just a customer to us—she was a friend and a special part of the Jerry’s family.

Leona and I also happened to share a birthday, March 4th, and we always called each other “birthday buddies.” ❤️ That’s something I’ll always remember and smile about.

We are all very sad to hear of Leona’s passing, but we also feel incredibly fortunate to have known her and to have so many wonderful memories of her time spent with us.

103 years is an incredible life, and we’re honored that a little piece of that life was spent around the tables at Jerry’s.

Rest easy, Birthday Buddy. You will be missed more than you know. ❤️

What an amazing Balloon Fest week! 🎈

It was honestly one of the busiest Balloon Fest weeks we’ve ever had at Jerry’s, and we can’t thank everyone enough for coming out and supporting us.

We met so many first-time customers from the Chicago area, Indiana, Kentucky, and plenty of other places along the way. What meant the most was hearing how many of them found Jerry’s because someone local recommended us.

That is the best advertising we could ever ask for. Thank you to our community for continuing to support us, sending new people our way, and helping make a little family-owned restaurant in Wamac a place visitors want to find.

And to everyone who tried Jerry’s for the first time—we hope you enjoyed it, and we hope to see you again! 🎈

🎈 Balloon Fest weekend is here! 🎈

There’s a lot going on at Fairview Park tonight and Saturday, so while you’re out enjoying the balloons, music and all the festivities, come see us at Jerry’s in between the fun!

Grab a hand-cut steak, some fried chicken, Tammy’s cheesecake, or just come cool off, sit down and recharge before heading back for the Balloon Glow and evening entertainment.

We’re pretty excited for Balloon Fest weekend…although apparently AI thinks I’ve aged 10 years and gained about 25 pounds 😂 Tammy and Misty look good, and Doug looks pretty OK—so I guess that’s really all that matters.

With Balloon Fest moving to Fairview Park, it’s technically closer to Jerry’s than it’s ever been! So while you’re out enjoying the festivities, stop in and see us for a hand-cut steak, seafood, fried chicken, a frozen drink—or, of course, a piece of Tammy’s cheesecake.

We’re officially on our annual two-week vacation! ☀️

Jerry’s Grill & Bar will be closed now through Monday, August 17, and we’ll reopen Tuesday, August 18 at 11:00 AM with our normal business hours.

As we begin our 56th year, we just want to say thank you. Your support, loyalty, and friendship over the years have meant more to our family than words can express. Because of you, we’ve been blessed to serve this community for generations, and we never take that for granted.

This short break also gives our incredible staff a chance to relax, recharge, and spend some well-deserved time with their families. They work hard every single day to provide the friendly service and great food that Jerry’s is known for, and we’re grateful for each and every one of them.

Thank you again for your continued support. We hope you have a wonderful couple of weeks, and we can’t wait to see everyone when we reopen on Tuesday, August 18 at 11:00 AM! ❤️
