A line of severe thunderstorms has left a lot of tree and power line damage behind. Ameren Illinois is reporting 911 without power in Centralia, 184 customers in Salem, and 795 in Mt. Vernon. Pictured below is a large tree down across Pleasant Street in Centralia. Thanks to Garrett Ford for the photo.

SPOTTED IN THE SKY ON THE NORTHSIDE OF SALEM. A number of reports of this or other similar storm clouds with what appears to be a small funnel cloud trying to develop. Craig Morton took this photo over the Salem Nature Trail Parking lot near Salem Township Hospital shortly after four Sunday afternoon. We've reached out to Salem Emergency Management Agency Coordinator Terry Mulvaney and the National Weather Service in St. Louis for further determination about the storm cloud that quickly disappeared after forming.
