We’re incredibly thankful and excited to share the results from the 2026 Big Peach Barbecue Battle in Gaffney, SC!

Taking home Grand Champion along with two first-place category wins is something we’re extremely proud of. Every long night tending the smoker, every early morning, and every ounce of hard work paid off this weekend.

S & M BBQ had an unforgettable weekend in Williamston, bringing home 🥇 Grand Champion honors and 🥇 1st Place in Boston Butt against some of the best competition teams in South Carolina. 🍖🔥

From the opening night preparations to final awards, the entire weekend was a huge moment for the team. Hard work, consistency, and attention to detail paid off in a big way. 🏆

🐖We had a great weekend competing at the March 20-21, 2026 BSA BBQ Cook-Off in Sumter, South Carolina alongside some outstanding teams from across the state. S & M BBQ was honored to earn 1st Place in Friday Night Wings and a Top 5 finish in the Boston Butt category.

We appreciate the organizers, judges, volunteers, and everyone who worked to make the event a success while supporting Scouting America and the Henry Shelor District. Events like this are a reminder of how strong the BBQ community is across South Carolina.

🐖On March 13–14, fourteen competition BBQ teams gathered in Prosperity, SC to compete for bragging rights and prizes.🐖

Thanks to Mid Carolina High School for hosting the event, and to Organizer and Athletic Director Chris Arnoult and his team !
