2026 Women in Business Leadership Summit with Bank of America. We connected with other family businesses and leaders making an impact. Bank of America connected us with Selena's Gourmet who happens to know our dad, Vincent HoSang from when she was starting her own businesses. It was great to hear panelists speak on marketing, having a voice in their business, paving their way in a male dominated industries, as well as current economic impact on businesses.

As first generation Americans, my Jamaican immigrant parents were fascinated by some of the food in America. An after school snack was sometimes meat, mayo and hard dough bread if not a Jamaican Patty. Here’s one that brings me back to my childhood. Being raised Chinese Jamaican and in the food industry we were taught to use soy sauce in almost everything savory and sometimes a little jerk seasoning. I was raised to season meat with the basics: soy sauce, garlic, onions. Sometimes we add a little jerk seasoning to meat we are marinating. Anytime I was in the test kitchen working on R&D, my dad would always say the food must taste good. Try this next time you make burgers and follow me for more ideas I like to share.
