Monday Morning Coffee with June Bear! 🌞 This morning we are enjoying a cup of Sumatra! Sumatra is the largest of the Sunda island in West Indonesia. The Island crosses the equator with a hot humid tropical climate perfect for growing coffee. Coffee was introduced to Indonesia in 1696 by Dutch colonialist. The coffee grows well in the rich volcanic soil of the island. The beans are processed using a method called "giling basah" (wet hulling). At June Bear we roast the beans to a Medium dark and a true dark. The medium dark bring our flavor notes of to***co, herbal and tea. While the Dark roast brings out flavor notes of bakers chocolate, deep molasses and smoky. What roast level would interest you the most? Get your bag of Sumatra coffee from us at our next market or on our website www.junebearcoffeeco.com. Hope your morning coffee is delicious!

Locally Roasted or Store Bought?
We have all seen the large isle in the grocery store with all the coffee lining a huge wall with every color, bean and added flavors you can imagine. You might buy something new or return to the same old thing you have bought forever. Have you looked at the bag closely there is no roast date on commercial bags only an best buy date? The best buy date can be anywhere from 6 to 12 months from the roast date. Coffee reaches its peak flavor at 7 to 21 days after it has been roasted. Local Roasters have the ability to roast and package as needed for their customers. With this business model we can stamp the roast date on each individual bag. This provides our customers with the freshest coffee we can offer! Thank you for buying from a local roaster you are supporting a dream and a local family!

Monday Afternoon Coffee with JuneBear! 🌞 This afternoon, we are enjoying a blend that is quickly becoming a favorite at farmers' markets, Rhody Bear! Our signature house blend, lovingly named after Rhode Island, the home of JuneBear Coffee. It is a combination of dark-roasted Brazil and light-roasted Costa Rica, making one amazing blend. When these two beans are combined, you get notes of dark chocolate, citrus, and caramel. It is delicious as a drip coffee and also makes a great espresso! Get your bag of Rhody Bear coffee from us at our next market or on our website www.junebearcoffeeco.com. Hope your afternoon coffee is delicious! β˜•οΈ

Where is JuneBear Coffee?

October 2025, we got the keys for our warehouse/roaster location at 131 Clay Street, Central Falls, Rhode Island. Located inside the Conant Thread District, a historic industrial area between Central Falls and Pawtucket. The Clay Street Studio is part of the historic Hemphill Mill complex, originally built around 1900, which manufactured knitting equipment such as circular knitting machines and automatic hosiery machines. Hemphill Mill was famous for producing banner machines. In the early 2000s, the mill was purchased and now has space for 85 tenants, including art studios, offices, and maker spaces. We are proud to be part of history by making Central Falls home to JuneBear Coffee!

Monday Morning Coffee with JuneBear! 🌞 Happy Labor Day! We're enjoying our morning coffee with both kids at home for a long weekend! We're highlighting Costa Rica coffee beans this week. By law, Costa Rica exclusively cultivates 100% Arabica beans, grown at a high altitude in volcanic soil. Although coffee isn't native to Costa Rica, it was introduced from Cuba in the 1700s. By 1829, coffee beans became Costa Rica's #1 export. Most beans are washed-processed, leaving them with clean, balanced notes of milk chocolate, citrus, and nutty flavors. We offer Costa Rica as a Single Origin and blended in our Rhody Bear House Blend. We roast Costa Rica to a light roast to highlight its natural flavors of bright citrus, brown sugar, and honey. Get your bag of Costa Rica coffee from us at our next market or on our website! Hope your morning coffee is delicious! β˜•οΈ
