Restaurant Shift Leader / Assistant General Manager
Pay: Starting at $17.00 per hour (based on experience)
Overview

We are seeking a Restaurant Shift Leader / Assistant General Manager to help oversee daily operations and deliver an exceptional guest experience. This leadership role is responsible for supporting team development, maintaining operational standards, ensuring food safety compliance, and driving outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities
• Supervise daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, service, and cleanliness.
• Lead, coach, and motivate team members to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Manage shift staffing, delegate responsibilities, and assist with employee training.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
• Operate and oversee POS systems, including Toast POS, cash handling, and drawer reconciliation.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and stock control.
• Address guest concerns professionally and resolve issues promptly.
• Help maintain a positive, team-oriented work environment.
Qualifications
• Previous experience in restaurant management, shift leadership, or restaurant supervision.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills.
• Experience with food preparation, food handling, and food safety procedures.
• Familiarity with POS systems, preferably Toast POS.
• Cash handling and reconciliation experience.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to manage inventory and maintain operational efficiency.
• Basic math skills for cash management and reporting.
• Serve Safe Certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification.
• Ability to work evening shifts until 10:00 PM.
• Availability to work weekends.
• Casual dining, sports bar, or hospitality experience is a plus.
