I had only met Dan once when he invited me to Buffalo, and I’m incredibly grateful that he did.

I was fortunate enough to get a behind-the-scenes, all-access experience at the National Buffalo Wing Festival! I experienced competitive eating for the first time and got to witness one of my favorite local restaurants win a national award — obviously Archer’s!

I went hoping to learn more about what makes a Buffalo wing. I came back not only knowing a lot more about wings, but falling in love with Buffalo — the people, the food and the culture.

Thank you, Dan, Archer’s and everyone who made me feel welcome in Buffalo. It was an incredible experience, and I still have a lot more to share from the trip!

I came to Buffalo for the wings. I didn’t expect to end up in the middle of Buffalo wing history.

Celebrating the 25th National Buffalo Wing Festival with Dan from Archer’s — meeting Mark Dempsey, CEO of the legendary Anchor Bar where the Buffalo wing was born, hanging out with the Wing King himself, and of course… eating a ridiculous amount of wings.

Pretty incredible weekend so far.

Huge thank you to Dan and Archer’s for bringing me along for this one.
