The Story Behind BH Coffee
BH Coffee was founded in 2019 by Danielle Diss, inspired by two things she loved most—great coffee and her incredible black-and-white Great Dane, Boone Howard.
Boone wasn't just a dog; he was family. He was a therapy dog, a farm dog, and quickly earned the title of BH Coffee's very first CEO. He was always nearby and "approving" every drink that left the trailer. His favorite? Our signature caffeine-free frozen hot chocolate, now lovingly known as the **Boone Howard**. It's a sweet, refreshing treat that everyone can enjoy, especially kids who love having a coffee shop drink of their own.
Danielle and Kayla first met in college, where they became close friends. Through Danielle, Kayla not only got to know and love Boone but also discovered a passion for coffee. When BH Coffee first hit the road, Kayla quickly fell in love with creating handcrafted drinks, serving the community, and being part of something special.
In 2024, when Danielle decided it was time to pass the business on to someone new, there was no question that Kayla was the perfect person to continue the BH Coffee story. What started as a friendship and a shared love of coffee became the next chapter for the business.
In May 2025, Boone Howard crossed the rainbow bridge. He lived an incredible 9½ years—a remarkable lifespan for a Great Dane—and left paw prints on the hearts of everyone who met him, his legacy lives on every day through BH Coffee, and especially through the drink that proudly carries his name.
Every Boone Howard frozen hot chocolate is more than just a delicious treat—it's a celebration of the dog who helped inspire BH Coffee and the friendships that made it all possible.
