“WARRIORS! COME OUT AND PLAY!” — The Swarm

The droning grew louder.

The Warriors stood their ground.

Above them, countless insects merged into a single living cloud stretching across the sky. What began as chaos slowly became something far more disturbing.

Patterns.

Shapes.

Letters.

Words.

The cadence of the swarm rose and fell like a choir of wings. Millions of insects moved with impossible precision, arranging themselves into a message no one should have been able to create.

“WARRIORS! COME OUT AND PLAY!”

The challenge echoed across the borough.

Not spoken.

Not shouted.

Formed by the swarm itself.

For the first time, the Mochi Warriors realized they weren’t dealing with a natural disaster.

Something was controlling the insects.

Something intelligent.

Something that knew they were there.

And somewhere beyond the endless buzzing, something was waiting for them.

This week we’re celebrating the arrival of Odd Jon and the beginning of one of the strangest stories the Warriors have faced yet.

🍩 The Junkyard Halo
Sugar-cinnamon mochi donut icing finished with rich caramel drizzle.

🧋 Hazard Level Orange
Green tea infused with blood orange and lemon, finished with soda popping boba.

🧋 Boiler Room Breakdown

Come experience the menu inspired by the Sovereign of the Swarm while it’s available and follow along as the mystery of Odd Jon continues to unfold.

The swarm has spoken.

The challenge has been issued.

Will the Warriors answer?

06/09/2026

The sky changed first.

What began as a simple investigation quickly became something far stranger.

The Mochi Warriors followed reports of unusual insect activity to an abandoned borough on the edge of the city. Residents spoke of strange humming sounds, missing people, and swarms so large they drove entire neighborhoods indoors.

What they found was unlike anything they had ever seen.

Buildings covered in chitinous honeycomb structures.

Streetlights wrapped in silk-like fibers.

A droning so powerful it vibrated through bone.

Then the swarms appeared.

Millions of insects moved together with impossible coordination. They separated into smaller groups. Those groups formed patterns. The patterns became symbols. The symbols became words.

What should have been chaos felt deliberate.

Intelligent.

As the Warriors stood and watched, a chilling realization began to take shape:

The swarm wasn’t simply moving.

It was communicating.

And somewhere beyond the endless wings and deafening droning, something was communicating back.

This is Week 2 of Odd Jon’s story.

If you’d like a small taste of the madness waiting beyond the swarm, stop in and try Odd Jon’s featured menu:

⚙️ ODD JON HAS BEEN DIGGING THROUGH THE JUNKYARD AGAIN... ⚙️

And honestly?

We’re not sure if he found treasure, lost his mind, or both.

“INCREDIBLE!” — NANDI

“BEAUTIFUL!” — ZOEY

“GROSS!” — PHOEBE

Three warriors.

One sky.

Three completely different reactions.

As the swarm spread across the borough, the impossible became impossible to ignore.

Millions of insects moved together with perfect coordination. Spirals formed overhead. Patterns emerged from chaos. Entire sections of the sky seemed to rearrange themselves as though some unseen intelligence was writing messages across the clouds.

Nandi couldn’t look away. Every formation felt deliberate. Every movement seemed meaningful.

To her, it was incredible.

Zoey saw something different.

Where others saw danger, she saw wonder. The insects danced through the sunset like living artwork stretched across the sky.

To her, it was beautiful.

Phoebe remained completely unconvinced.

Millions of bugs covering an entire city?

The giant insects?

The silk?

The honeycomb?

Absolutely not.

To her, it was gross.

And somehow, all three of them were right.

Because that is the thing about Madness.

It doesn’t just change the world around you.

It changes how you see it.

Somewhere in the background, Odd Jon happily enjoyed another snack, completely unaware that his resonance was transforming an entire borough into something no one would ever forget.

⚙️ THIS WEEK’S ODD JON MENU ⚙️

🍩 THE JUNKYARD HALO
🟠 HAZARD LEVEL ORANGE
☕ BOILER ROOM BREAKDOWN

The swarm is growing.

The borough is changing.

And the Mochi Warriors are beginning to realize that something far bigger than insects may be waiting beyond the horizon.

06/01/2026

The borough should have been empty.

Instead, it was alive.

Honeycomb stretched across entire buildings. Silk draped from rooftops like abandoned banners. The deeper the Mochi Warriors traveled, the stranger everything became.

Then they looked up.

At first, the insects seemed random.

Thousands of them.

Maybe millions.

But as the swarm moved, a terrifying realization began to settle in.

The insects weren’t wandering.

They weren’t migrating.

They weren’t feeding.

They were organizing.

Massive spirals formed across the evening sky. Patterns appeared and vanished. Entire sections of the swarm merged together with impossible precision before separating again.

The city felt less like an abandoned borough and more like something waiting.

Watching.

Preparing.

And somewhere among the ruins, completely oblivious to the growing tension, Odd Jon was busy enjoying his latest discoveries.

☕ BOILER ROOM BREAKDOWN

Odd Jon’s resonance power is Madness.

Not destruction.

Not chaos.

Madness.

The kind that makes ordinary things seem extraordinary.

The kind that makes impossible things feel normal.

The kind that leaves you wondering if what you’re seeing is real at all.

And if the swarm is trying to say something...

The Mochi Warriors are about to find out.

Some heroes don’t wear capes. They wear courage.

This Memorial Day, we wanted to do something a little different.

Not louder.
Not bigger.
Just intentional.

This image was created to honor Specialist Ross A. McGinnis and all of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice so the rest of us could keep having ordinary days.

For those who may not know his story, SPC Ross McGinnis was serving in Iraq when his vehicle was attacked. Faced with an impossible choice, he chose to protect the Soldiers around him at the cost of his own life. Because of his actions, others came home.

There are people sitting at dinner tables tonight because of choices like that.

That kind of courage deserves more than a long weekend.

It deserves remembrance.

So this week, our Munchi Mochi crew kneels.

Not because they lost.

Not because they’re defeated.

Because respect matters.

Because gratitude matters.

Because freedom has always been carried by people willing to give something they never got back.

If you’ve got disagreements with someone—
put them down for a day.

If someone comes to mind—
call them.

If someone says they’re okay—
ask again.

Visit a memorial.
Tell the stories.
Share the photos.
Teach the younger generation who these people were.

And if you’d like to learn more about Ross and his sacrifice, we’ll have a link in our bio.

While you’re here—

🎵 Boba, Beats & Cosplay Contest
Show off your creativity and join the fun before time runs out.

Because if this day reminds us of anything—

it’s that time together isn’t guaranteed.

Respect.
Remember.
Be grateful.

The Might of Mochi.

05/25/2026

“Hiya, doc. My name’s Dutch. Mother would like a word.”

The next night.

Zoey is recovering.

Not fixed. Not suddenly stronger. Just alive.

The kind of recovery that isn’t dramatic enough for stories but matters anyway—the kind measured in breaths instead of victories.

Grace returns to work.

Deep inside an abandoned drugstore where old medicine and bad ideas still linger in the walls, the back lab glows with impossible colors. Glass hums under low light. Equations become experiments. Experiments become escalation.

“They adapt,” she tells herself.

“So I escalate.”

A single drop falls.

The solution deepens to green.

Grace smiles.

Zoey always struggled with escalation.

Then—

that feeling again.

A black cat.

Still.

Watching.

Grace recognizes it immediately.

The same one from the night before.

She reaches for the syringe.

The cat doesn’t run.

She steps closer.

The cat smiles.

The beaker tips.

Smoke.

Chaos.

Grace lunges after it.

And when she finally corners her prey—

there is no cat.

Only a child crouched in the shadows.

Amber eyes.

That impossible grin.

And suddenly she understands.

The cat was never a cat.

Silas was watching.

Testing.

Choosing.

The child rocks slightly and mutters nonsense under his breath while another voice seems to answer underneath his own.

Then three figures emerge like they had always been standing there.

Dutch.

Not angry.

Not loud.

Not threatened.

Just… expected.

And for the first time all week—

Grace stops moving.

Because this doesn’t feel like a trap.

It feels like a meeting.

Meanwhile at Munchi Mochi…

Grace’s menu returns for those reckless enough to test their own resonance 🍩🧋

This month’s specials were inspired by escalation itself—unexpected, bold, and a reminder that sometimes growth changes shape before you recognize it.

And if you stop in this Memorial Day weekend—

remember the people who never made it home.

Put grievances aside.

Check on someone.

Say their names.

Respect the day.

The Might of Mochi.
