Great couple days spent in Minnesota at Minnesota Barbeque Society MIM. The volunteers and everyone that helps put this event together did an amazing job! Did not take many pictures, saw a lot of great bbq folks and we turned in some really good bbq. We brought the lucky charm (Murphy) with us and to say we did not have much luck is an understatement….. unlicensed trailer electrician repair made, Friday night rib and bean scoring nightmare lead us right into a Saturday morning double rainbow. Gotta be a sign right? Well, much as the rainbows faded so did our chances to pull off a victory. 8th place chicken, damn near DAL 70s ish rib place and pork they just did not like. Won our table in brisket and got home a little before midnight. Huge congratulations to Burnt Tree BBQ on the GC and thanks for the trailer tour!! Our Iowa BBQ friends Smoking Suckers for the killer RGC and qualifying for Vegas!! Mike Mulkey and Mulkey's BBQ & catering LLC for the belt to ass beat down to the south! Disappointed in our results but excited for graduation season to start and take a competition bbq hiatus and explore some other exciting culinary opportunities! Stay tuned and stay hungry!
