Kentucky is home to a family of three giant trolls tucked away in the woods at Bernheim Forest. About 30 minutes south of Louisville, this forest covers more than 16,000 acres and has 40 miles of trails, a 17-acre nature playground, and an Edible Garden. The real highlight, though, is a group of huge wooden trolls built by artist Thomas Dambo. One is Mama Loumari, resting quietly against a tree. Her two kids are nearby. Little Nis looks into his own reflection at Olmsted Pond, while Little Elina plays beside a pile of rocks. Together, they make one of the most fun, creative, and memorable outdoor spots in Kentucky.
