A fond farewell to our great customers and friends...
In Spring 2019, our family opened Zao's to share fresh made-to-order Chinese food from our family's recipes. We have enjoyed serving each and every customer over the years, and have been so fortunate to have the most amazing team members who have worked through some crazy challenging times - a pandemic, supply chain shortages and 2 years of winter freezes.
For most of our front staff, our restaurant has been a first job where they have learned so many skills. They have been awesome! We've watched these responsible and willing to work "teenagers" grow to become young adults and leave for college (some even come back to work during their breaks!)
For our lunch regulars, the older lady (aka "mom" to us) is happily retired and devotes most of her time to her garden. She misses all of the lunch regulars and always asks about everyone. She may not know your name but you know, as soon as you walk through the door, she knows your order!
Our kitchen cooks have been the absolute best! Nobody works harder to make sure food is prepped for service and that every dish is prepared to order.
Over the years, so many customers have become regulars with whom we have enjoyed many memorable chats and conversations. We have loved getting to know you and wished we could have let you know of our exit, but we didn't know that we would be transitioning so quickly. Please forgive us for not being able to say thank you in person.
We will miss everyone, but the new owners will be ready to continue serving you! We hope you will give them the opportunity just as you have given us.
