Today we served our last meal at Mija Barbecue.
It’s hard to put into words what this journey has meant to our family. What started as a dream became a place where friendships were formed, milestones were celebrated, kids played in the backyard, music filled the air, and countless memories were made around the table.
To every customer who chose to spend your time and money with us, every employee who poured their heart into this place, every musician, vendor, neighbor, friend, and family member who supported us—you helped make Mija Barbecue so much more than a restaurant.
Thank you for every order, every recommendation, every kind review, every conversation, every laugh, and every prayer. You carried us through the highs and the hard days, and we’ll never forget the love this community has shown us.
Closing this chapter is bittersweet, but we leave with hearts that are incredibly full. We are so proud of what Mija Barbecue became, and we couldn’t have done it without each and every one of you.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for allowing us to be part of your lives and your traditions. We hope we gave you a place that felt like home, even if just for a meal.
This isn’t goodbye to the people we’ve met along the way—it’s simply goodbye to this chapter.
