Cave City Watermelon Festival July 29-31, 2027
Celebrating the world's sweetest Watermelons since 1980! Welcome home! For contact information, please see the "About" section.

Each year the Cave City Watermelon Festival invites you to "come home" for family, friendship, and fun. With a parade, live entertainment, crafts, food, games for all ages, antique tractors, a car show, and much more, there is literally something for everyone. Since 1980, we have been celebrating our town and its rich history of producing the world’s sweetest watermelons. The festival has prospered through the tireless efforts of an army of volunteers and sponsors.

2015 welcomed a new committee of festival leaders. Please "like" and "share" this page with everyone you know. Whether you're one of the thousands who visit the festival each year, or a newcomer, we look forward to welcoming you "home" this July.

The Cave City Watermelon Festival is about more than three days of fun—it is about giving back to the community we love. 🍉❤️

Two of the many beneficiaries of this year’s donations are the Cave City Assembly of God Food Pantry and the Cave City Middle School Backpack Program, which provides backpacks filled with food EACH WEEK for 152 students and their families.

This is one of the many reasons our committee volunteers all year long to make the festival happen. Every hour of planning helps us support programs that make a real difference in our community.

Thank you to everyone who generously bid on watermelons during the Melon Auction. And a special thank-you to our local farmers who grow and donate the watermelons that give our community such a sweet reason to celebrate!

When our community comes together, we can accomplish something truly special. 🍉

Nothing says summer like a genuine Cave City watermelon! 🍉

Here’s your guide to the local farmers who are still harvesting and selling the World’s Sweetest Watermelons.

Be sure to follow each grower’s page to see:
• When fresh melons are available
• Where and who selling outside of Cave City
• Which stores and stands are carrying their watermelons

When you shop, always look for the official Cave City Watermelon Growers sticker. The sticker includes the grower’s name and helps verify that your watermelon was officially grown in the Cave City area—not an imitation.

👇 Check out all of our registered growers’ pages below and support the families who make Cave City famous, one sweet watermelon at a time! 🍉

The generosity of this community never ceases to amaze us. ❤️🍉

Because of the incredible support of our local businesses, growers, bidders, donors, and everyone who attended the Cave City Watermelon Festival Melon Auctions, we raised $16,000 this year!

These funds will directly benefit local food banks and Ag for Autism, helping make a real difference in the lives of families throughout our community.

Thank you to everyone who donated melons, placed bids, volunteered, and cheered on the auction. Your generosity proves once again that when our community comes together, amazing things happen.

From the bottom of our hearts... thank you for making a difference. 🍉❤️

🎉 Congratulations to Our 2026 Cave City Watermelon Festival Next Generation Scholarship Recipient, Bricen Carter! 🍉

The Cave City Watermelon Festival Committee is proud to recognize Bricen Carter as the recipient of the 2026 Next Generation Scholarship.

Bricen has grown up surrounded by the rich agricultural tradition that makes our festival so special. From before he was even born, he has been a part of his family's watermelon farming operation, and many festival attendees and customers have had the privilege of watching him grow into the outstanding young man he is today.

This scholarship celebrates the next generation of agricultural leaders, and Bricen embodies the hard work, dedication, and community spirit that this award represents. As he prepares to celebrate his 18th birthday and begin his senior year of high school, we are excited to see all he will accomplish in the years ahead.

Congratulations, Bricen! We are honored to invest in your future, and we thank you for helping to carry on the proud watermelon heritage of Cave City. We wish you continued success and look forward to watching your journey unfold.
