Since it came up… we thought this was a good opportunity to share a little more about who we are. 🌿

The Willow wasn’t brought here with NYC money. We didn’t move here and decide what our community should pay.

We’re from here, too.

Our owner was born and raised right here and owns a farm in Valatie, Willowwood Farm, where some of the food served at The Willow is grown and raised.

And when we can’t source something from our own farm, we make a conscious effort to source locally and support other area farms and small businesses. Even our upstairs market is filled with local vendors, makers, and small businesses.

We know our prices may not fit every budget, and we completely respect that. But our pricing isn’t based on what someone from NYC might be willing to pay. It reflects the real cost of fresh, quality ingredients, sourcing locally whenever possible, making much of our food from scratch, paying our employees, and keeping a small, locally owned business running.

Could we buy cheaper ingredients? Absolutely. Could we cut corners? Sure.

But that isn’t what we created The Willow to be.

We created it to be a place that supports the community we grew up in - from the farmers we buy from, to the vendors upstairs, to the people we employ, to the customers who walk through our doors.

We’re proud to be local. We’re proud to support local. And we’re pretty proud to call this community home. 🤍

Our Farmhouse Plate has everything you need for a good breakfast. 🍳

Fresh eggs from our sister farm Willowwood Farm, cooked your way, your choice of bread and breakfast meat, plus our homemade home fries.

We’re currently doing a trial run of our new weekday hours, 6:00am–2:00pm, with weekends remaining 8:00am–3:00pm. Keep an eye on our page for any updates over the next few weeks!

Two farm-fresh eggs cooked any style, toast, home fries, and your choice of meat - the perfect hearty breakfast to start your day.

And of course, our classic Sammy’s are still on the menu!

Castleton Clayworks & The Willow Bring You: Paint Your Own Stein Night!

📍Wednesday October 21st from 6pm-8:30pm @ The Willow - Cafe & Market

All steins are between 8-8.5” tall, except for the bellied stein which is 6.5”. Choose from 8 vintage steins (see pictures on our website). 
All steins are made to order and need to be ordered by Friday, October 9th so they can be bisque-fired prior to the event.

All materials are provided: the bisque-fired steins, the underglazes in a variety of colors, paint brushes, sponges and instruction. No painting or ceramic experience necessary! 

Space is limited to 20 so purchase your ticket today!  Tickets: $55 (includes tea, coffee or mocktail)
