With a heavy heart, I wanted to share an important update.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, we will no longer be opening at Eastridge Mall as originally planned. I truly appreciate all the excitement, support, and patience youโve shown throughout this journey.
I also want to be transparent about the delays. The stall space required more work than expected to meet health department standards after the food court had been vacant for quite some time, which significantly pushed back our opening timeline over and over. The mall's team has been so friendly and accommodating and also working hard on updating it for me, as things needed to be approved. Even though I was up and ready to go to sell, I unfortunately had to wait till the space was up to standards to operate in.
During this waiting period, we were also faced with a personal health matter that requires several months of recovery. Because of this, and the ongoing delays, I made the difficult decision to announce a pause on our opening and focus on recovery during this time.
I sincerely apologize for sharing opening announcements and ads too early. Unfortunately, things did not go as planned, and I understand how disappointing that may be. I know I answered messages to the page while still being hopeful about opening in the following weeks and again I am truly sorry.
That being said, this is not the end of our journey. I am still very hopeful and determined to bring this dream to life in the soon/future and ideally with a strong team in place to help support it, instead of just me solely running it. We let the mall's managment know and they also support our decision while they continue to update the space and will glady welcome us back again once we are ready.
