A cruise-in is held every year on the first Saturday in November! Oilfield Store is a small cafe housed in a one room school house built in 1866, boasting great hamburgers, other sandwiches, homemade pie and daily specials. Open - Wednesday 11-2, Thursday 11-2, Friday 11-8 and Saturday 11-2. The first oil well was drilled in the late 1800's in this area. An oil boom during 1900-1930 established t

he town of Oilfield. Well known people visited and invested in this area during that time. Illinois became a top producer of oil in the nation.

 Well the day wasn’t quite over for us at Oilfield and another unique vehicle stopped in! The folks were from Ohio Lori and Terri Goodman. They say there’s a car show with that exact style or make of Vehicle that they go to and there’s tons of them, so it’s very interesting to talk with them! I’ll have a video of him putting the hood up and down on the convertible. Stay tuned.😁

We had a unique vehicle up here today. I hear a witch lives in it and hands out candy on Halloween 🎃 Jensen is playing the Oilfield store today from 12:30 to 1:30 ‘n. Come on over! The store café is open till 2 o’clock today. I’ve got pudding, coconut cream pie, iron skillet, apple pie and rhubarb pie for the dessert menu!!
