A Scoop of Thanks for Carterville’s City Crew!

Yesterday was a rough day in Carterville. A broken water main left our community without water, while our city workers spent hours out in nearly 100-degree heat working to get it repaired.

While most of us were frustrated by the inconvenience, these folks were the ones standing in the heat, getting dirty, and doing the work necessary to get our water flowing again.

We see you, and we appreciate you. ❤️

Supertam would like to invite the Carterville city workers who worked on yesterday’s water-main repair to stop by and see us. Your ice cream is on us. 🍨

Please come in for a cup of ice cream so we can personally say THANK YOU for your hard work, dedication, and service to our little town.

Sometimes the people doing the hardest jobs deserve something a little sweeter at the end of the day.

What a great way to start the day on Route 66!

We had the pleasure of visiting with renowned Route 66 photographer David Schwartz this morning while he was doing a photo shoot at Supertam on 66!

David has spent years capturing the people, places, neon, and character of the Mother Road, and his photography was selected for the U.S. Postal Service’s Route 66 Centennial Forever stamps celebrating 100 years of America’s Main Street.

It was an honor to have David behind the camera at Supertam, and even better to get to spend a couple hours visiting with him while he was here.

Here’s to 100 years of Route 66 and the people who help tell its story!

To celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the classic movie Cars, the 66 Drive-In Theatre in Carthage, MO will be hosting an event on Labor Day weekend! Come out to support a 66 landmark, and be sure to stop by the Route 66 Association of Missouri booth!
