🚚 FOOD TRUCK MYTHS
MYTH: "Food trucks are always competing against each other."
This is one of my favorite myths to debunk.
Sure, we may serve different menus and occasionally be at the same event, but most food truck owners understand something important:
**A STRONG FOOD TRUCK COMMUNITY BENEFITS EVERYONE.**
Over the years, we've watched food truck owners help one another in ways most people never see.
We've loaned equipment when something unexpectedly broke.
We've borrowed supplies when someone ran out.
We've referred events to another truck when we were already booked.
We've shared ideas, recommended repair shops, exchanged business advice, and even celebrated each other's successes.
Because at the end of the day, we're not just running businesses...
We're navigating many of the same challenges together.
That's one of the reasons we started the Northwest Georgia Food Truck Coalition a couple of years ago — to build relationships instead of rivalries, encourage professionalism, share opportunities, and strengthen the food truck community throughout Northwest Georgia.
Does competition exist?
Of course. Every industry requires competition. It helps us to continue to grow and provide the best product and service that we can.
But respect, collaboration, and helping one another are far more common than most people realize.
When one food truck succeeds, it helps strengthen the reputation of all of us who work hard to serve our communities with great food and great hospitality.
Running a food truck isn't just about serving great food. It's about building relationships, solving problems, serving people - customers and other truck owners, and adapting every single day.
💬 Have you ever seen local businesses work together instead of compete? We'd love to hear your stories!
🚚 See you next week (or whenever the next myth rolls out 😉) for another Food Truck Myth!
