Meet Anna! We have recently had the pleasure of getting to see her here at the shop on a regular basis- both as a customer & a volunteer; using her time, money, & skills to brighten our flower bed & decorate our bathrooms (check out how how cute they look!!)
A retired school teacher, Anna is definitely a woman who can be recognized by her good fruits. When we sat down this past week to talk, my first question was centered around just that. I wanted to know and share with all of you, how & why she lives her life this way, to which she humbly replied, "that means that Christ is illuminated through me. That's my desire." ✝️
Anna's faith & faithfulness is such an integral part of who she is. She fellowships with the good folks at English Christian Church but says she loves all of her brothers & sisters in Christ.
When asked to share her favorite Bible verse she said she couldn't because every time she thinks she's found a favorite, she finds another one equally as impactful. Anna did say that the entire 4th chapter of Ephesians is her go to when she needs some encouragement. 🩷
Despite how gorgeous the shops flowers are, Anna says that she does not have a green thumb. She is naturally inclined toward the arts though! Anna is a talented painter, keyboard player, & singer.🎶She also enjoys spending time with her bunny, Comfort, riding her E-bike downtown, visiting Hobby Lobby & redecorating, and playing games with family & friends.
When asked to share some words of wisdom Anna responded, "cherish being young," and not to wait for other people to make the first move in social situations; "Talk, smile, listen." Imagine how much friendlier the world would be if we all had the same attitude as Anna!
If you see Anna around town or run into her here at the shop be sure to stop & chat. Chances are you'll walk away feeling uplifted & wearing a smile. ☺️
