Meet Alvin, our Adoptable Shelter Pup of the Week!!! This 1 yr old lab mix has the cutest little white socks on his paws, the silliest facial expressions, and a tail that never stops wagging. Aaaaand he might not respond to “Alvin” but BOY does he perk right up when you say “good boy”! And every time we looked over at him, his tongue was hanging out to the side and he was grinning from ear to ear!!
Alvin had an absolute blast meeting everyone during his outing! He’s incredibly friendly, loves attention, and is the kind of dog that makes people smile instantly. He’s good with other dogs, curious about cats, and has such a calm, easygoing personality. He is a genuinely good boy who would do great around kids and families.
One of Alvin’s favorite things in the world? Watching cars go by. He was completely fascinated by the road all day long, and honestly, we learned quickly that the best way to get him to pose for pictures was to let him sit and watch traffic while we gathered around him. He would happily spend hours sitting by a window just taking in the world outside!
Alvin is playful, observant, sweet, and FULL of personality. If you’ve been looking for a friendly dog with a gentle temperament and a goofy little smile, Alvin may just be your perfect match! Come meet him this week at the shelter!!

Carroll County Animal Shelter Hours: 12:30-4:30 Mon-Wed & Fri, 12:30-6 Thurs, 9-4 Sat, closed Sun (closed the last Friday of every month for training & deep cleaning). Dog meet-n-greets are always strongly encouraged before introducing a new pup to the family.
