Thank you for seven amazing years.
At 29, I had just returned from a backpacking trip through the Southwest. Just months before, I had spent six months exploring Asia, and I was gearing up for my next adventure through Central and South America.
But then, I found myself at a crossroads in Dallas. Should I keep traveling or start putting down roots? For the sake of my mom (and my savings), I chose to settle. Two months later, Bowl Mami was born.
After 15 years in hospitality, opening my own restaurant was always the dream. I never imagined it would happen in Dallas, but I’m so glad it did. Over the years, I’ve been incredibly blessed with the most amazing customers who became friends and staff who became family. Every conversation, every interaction—I’m deeply grateful for them all.
I wanted to create a space that felt like an escape from the daily grind. A place of love, healing, peace, and celebration. A place where community could grow. Thank you for being part of that dream.
Whether you’ve known me from my blonde hair ABG era, my COVID survival mode era, my pregnant era, my working mom era—or all of the above—I’m endlessly grateful for you.
These past seven years have been nothing short of incredible. Thank you for allowing me to serve you and be a small part of your lives.
Now, it’s time for me to step into a new era. I don’t know exactly what’s next, but I’m excited for the adventure ahead.
As of today, there will be a change in ownership. Lakshmi will be the new Mami, and I couldn’t be more thrilled for her and her beautiful family!
Mami loves you all so, so much. Thank you again for seven amazing years. And don’t worry—you’ll still see me around Bowl Mami, because let’s be real… nobody does it like Mami.
Add me on my personal IG to keep in touch! 🤠🍓
