For a true Carmel experience, enjoy dinner on the pet-friendly patio. In March of 1998 Kurt opened the door to his namesake restaurant: Grasing’s. In an impressive first year it received enthusiastic reviews

and was voted Best New Restaurant and Best Chef by the readers of Adventures in Dining Magazine. Grasings has been featured in Bon Appétit Magazine’s Best of the Year issue in 2004, and was awarded Carmel Business Association’s Business of the Year award that same year. Grasing’s was awarded Carmel Business Association’s Restaurant of the Year as well as a Celebrated Chef of the Year Award from the American Culinary Federation – Monterey Chapter, in 2007. In 2013 Grasing’s was voted Best Restaurant in Carmel by the readers of the Monterey County Weekly. Carmel Pine Cone Readers Poll named Grasing’s the Best Restaurant for a Steak in 2014 and 2015. Open Table diners conferred a 2015 Diner’s Choice Award on Grasing’s and Trip Advisor has given Grasing’s a Certificate of Excellence in 2015 and 2016. 2016 also brought Grasing’s a win for the Best Restaurant for a Special Occasion in 2016 from the Carmel Pine Cone Readers Poll. In 2010, Kurt revamped Grasing’s by constructing a new bar and lounge along with completing a restaurant make-over. The warm hues and contemporary décor in the restaurant and bar gives Grasing’s an even more inviting atmosphere, giving it a new look with the same great food and first-rate service to which guests are accustomed.

Grasing’s is excited to host Eric Jensen and the wines of Booker Vineyard for a Winemakers Dinner!
Featuring Paso Robles Rhône-style wines crafted by legendary winemaker Eric Jensen and complemented glass by glass with Executive Chef Mario Garcia’s finest work, you simply don’t want to miss this opportunity.
The event will be held in Grasing’s Roof-Top Garden on February 27th at 5:30 pm.
An admittance fee of $225 secures your seat for this very special dinner.

A warm welcome and heartfelt greeting to the members of Grasing’s Wine Club and to all of our Honored Guests.
 
It is my pleasure to invite you to Grasing’s in Carmel to meet Louis Jadot’s winemaker Frederic Barnier and explore the white and red wines of this storied Burgundian house.
 
Frederic will be pouring in Grasing’s West Wing on Monday, January 27th at 5:30 p.m.
 
An admittance fee of $25 secures your glass for this thorough exploration of Louis Jadots’ efforts, offered by the hand that made them.

We are still beaming from receiving the Wine Spectator Grand Award this year. Kurt accepted the award over the Oct. 17-19 weekend during the extravagant NY Wine Experience. The event showcased over 260 highly-rated wines, multiple tastings, seminars and luncheons to celebrate wine and the culinary arts. Net proceeds for the event go to the Wine Spectator Scholarship Foundation, where the funds benefit wine and culinary focused colleges all across the country. We are so excited to share this next step of our journey with you and look forward to seeing you soon!
