Ad Astra Atelier is a cafe and restaurant located in Carmel Mid Valley Shopping Center, featuring bread, pastries, coffee, and a to-order rotating menu to go or to dine in.

Join us Tuesday, August 11th for a very special multi-course dinner by Chef Ashley Del Rosario Ashley del Rosario.

This dinner is Chef Ashley's love letter to Italy shared through a collection of six dishes inspired by the simplicity, places, flavors and memories that captured her heart during her journey. Our friends at Holman Ranch (Holman Ranch) will be pouring a curated selection of three wines to pair with Ashley's menu.

It'll be a night of warmth, fun, community and love of Italian cuisine.

The first course will start with a savory canape, followed by a peach melba and prosecco, pavlova with rosé, miso custard tart with a dry white port, mignardise, and finally a mole canele as a parting gift.

It's the end of an era. We are sad to announce that Thursday (tomorrow) will be our manager Cody's last day at Ad Astra Atelier. He and his wife, Chef Stefanie Alias, will be moving out of state.

Cody's been with Atelier since the beginning (and was Head Baker at .astra.bread.co before that) and we are very sad to see both of them go, but know that he and Stef will be doing great work and making great food wherever they are.

If you've been lucky enough to attend one of Cody and Stef's Sunday Supper popups over the past year, then you already know about their passion for the culinary arts, love of community and deep sense of hospitality.

"If I don't get to see you and say goodbye, it has been a pleasure to serve this wonderful community and get to play a part in your routines. Thank you for all your support in this wonderful first year of business and I look forward to coming back and seeing how this business grows deeper into the fabric of Carmel Valley."

We're excited to announce that Chef Christina Lonewolf will be serving delicious indigenous creations at Atelier on Monday, June 8th from 5-8pm. The menu will also include a selection of creative drinks by Colores Climbing + Coffee.

Monterey Peninsula based chef, Christina Lonewolf has been honoring her skills and indigenous heritage since her early days as a chef apprentice at Post Ranch Inn in Big Sur. She has lead important tribal events such as being head chef of the local Esselen tribes harvest festival from 2022-2023 and Carmel Culinary Week for 2025 and upcoming 2026.
She has a way of fusing the modern standard of fine cuisine with the traditional ways her ancestors prepared food.

Nico Alfaro is a longtime coffee nerd combining a passion for outdoor education and specialty coffee. After learning the ropes at local Captain + Stoker and years working as an outdoor guide, he's now pursuing his dream of bringing a bouldering gym and coffee shop to Salinas with his wife and daughter. Colores Climbing + Coffee is building a space to connect and climb for the whole family. They use only quality ingredients, let the coffee shine, and do it all con cultura.
