I am sure a lot of you have heard Lokal sold, the part that sucks is I now need a place to live. A house, studio, caretaking, cottage or even a lot where i could park an rv. I was hoping somewhere in Prunedale, but I could honestly careless right now because i only have 10 days left. If any of you have or know someone that has a place for rent, that do not want to rent to a stranger on craigslist please give them my number 831-238-4860 send me a text and i will call you back

We are still open for dinner Thursday to Sunday. For the time being brunch will only be served on Saturday. I have to go to Farmers Market on Fridays from 10-2. It did not make sense to be open Thursday and Saturday. Hopefully we will figure out a solution soon and be back open for brunch Thursday and Friday.

As for this weekend we will be serving
We are serving BBQ Baby Back Ribs with our homemade BBQ sauce. We also made Short Ribs last night for the weekend.

Tomorrow afternoon at Lokal we are helping Big Sur Winery with a late lunch/early dinner featuring their wines. Hors d'oeuvres, four courses of fun food, Big Sur wines, etc. Starts at 4pm. $60 inclusive of wines, tax, gratuity...food even. Leonora from Big Sur Wine is a very nice, sincere wine person. I personally have no clue about her wines....and am looking forward to finding out. 659-5886 or text 659-5100 for rezzies.

Tonight is the beta run for our Thursday Cokoon Radio Hour.....think baby Moth Radio. We are working with the Moth folks and have joined their AAA franchise for the first few weeks.
Dinner starts at 6pm with a nice $20 prix fixe. Talks start at 7pm...and no you don't have to talk!

In our unending quest for more "fun"....actual fun....Brendan Jones has received permission from The Moth Radio people to do a branch here. The first few weeks will be on our own....Cocoon Radio, let's say.....until we and they see if anyone shows up and talks....but after that Lokal will an official part of the Moth Radio network.
Thursday nights....an inexpensive ($20-25) prix fixe with local wines and ......conversation. Start date will be Thursday the 16th.

I heard there is some confusion about our brunch hours. We are still open for brunch on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10 to 2:30. My dad and his crew have Sunday brunch they open at 10 and shut down at about 1.

We had a 13 person reservation at 6:30...turned away 3 tables for that time slot. I also had 2 other reservations at 6. ...

We had a 13 person reservation at 6:30...turned away 3 tables for that time slot. I also had 2 other reservations at 6. Guess what? They all cancelled a couple of minutes before 6, along with a 7pm reservation. The rain? Seriously? Needless to say we have have plenty of room and lots of good food.
