π± If you're chasing a dream right now and wondering if it's ever going to work, keep going.
I know that's easier said than done.
There are days when you're exhausted, discouraged, worried about finances, questioning your decisions, and wondering if all the hard work is even making a difference.
Being a small business owner isn't easy.
Being an entrepreneur isn't easy.
It seems like every time you solve one problem, another one is waiting around the corner.
β¨ But sometimes growth happens so gradually that you don't realize how far you've come until you stop and look back.
Almost five years ago, I was standing behind a six-foot table under a canopy with a Kentucky Proud certification, a few flower bouquets, garden goods, jams, and a tiny greenhouse that cost less than $50 on Amazon.
The following year, that little stand grew into a small roadside cabin and a larger greenhouse that we built ourselves. We got creative, worked with what we had, and kept reinvesting back into the dream.
Eventually, that dream led us into our old to***co barn. We renovated the entire building, knowing we couldn't use all of it right away.
We operated out of the front portion and rented the remaining space, always believing that one day we'd grow into it.
And little by little, we did.
β€οΈ What started as something I was passionate about slowly became something much bigger.
It became something our entire family poured their hearts into.
With Brad's support, a lot of hard work, and the encouragement of this community, that little roadside stand became the family business we have today.
Looking back now, I'm amazed at how much can happen in just a few years when you keep showing up.
π» As my grandmother always said, "Rome wasn't built in a day."
Those words have proven true more times than I can count.
I don't share this because I think we've βmade itβ. We haven't.
We're still learning, still growing, and still working hard every single day.
I share it because I know there may be someone out there wondering if they should keep going.
π± My advice is simple:
Keep showing up.
Keep learning.
Keep trying.
Keep believing.
The small steps you take today may not seem like much, but over time they can become something greater than you ever imagined.
π‘ My hope is that what we've built here is still standing 100 years from now.
That long after we're gone, our children, grandchildren, and generations beyond them will continue carrying on the legacy of something that started with a simple dream, a six-foot table, and a determination to keep going.π
