Sunday break β first thing back at the Homestead , I lit the wood stove and pulled out my old cast iron pot to slow-cook a big pot of pork marrow bones. πͺ΅
Three hours on a gentle wood fire β the bones were nearly falling apart, and the marrow slid right out. Cast iron locks in every bit of moisture and aroma β way better than a pressure cooker. The broth turned out rich, milky, and naturally sweet.
Nothing beats huddling around the stove on a chilly day, gnawing on bones and sipping on broth. This is what lifeβs about.
