☕️ Market Research, California Style 🌴😎

After attending the Rewiring Hospitality Summit 2026, we couldn’t resist doing a little “homework” while we were in California.

So we stopped by Coffee Dose, a wildly successful Orange County coffee concept known for its bold personality, creative drinks, and unforgettable guest experience.

Founded by a husband-and-wife team, Coffee Dose has built a loyal following by combining high-quality specialty coffee with a fun, approachable brand that doesn’t take itself too seriously.

Walking in, it was clear this wasn’t your typical coffee shop. The atmosphere was playful and designed to make people smile.

Every detail—from the branding to the menu—felt intentional. It’s definitely a little more cutting-edge California than what you’d typically find here in Southwest Florida, but that’s exactly what made it so interesting.

One thing that stood out was how they’ve created more than a coffee shop—they’ve built a community and an experience. Their success is a reminder that people don’t just visit businesses for products; they come for how those businesses make them FEEL. 💗

At Cafe YOU, we love learning from innovative operators around the country. Don’t worry—we’re not turning into a pink California coffee club anytime soon 😄, but we’re always looking for ideas that can help us create an even better experience for our guests here in Cape Coral.

✈️ Two of us packed our bags and travelled all the way from Cape Coral, Florida to Irvine, California with one goal in mind: learn from the best so Cafe YOU can get another step closer to becoming the best restaurant in Southwest Florida. 💪

We spent two full-on days soaking up knowledge from Preston Lee, Will Guandara, Tyler Florence, Jenni Castro from Dose Coffee, and many more industry experts. Every conversation, every lesson and every little detail gave us fresh ideas and a clearer path forward. ⏩

We already know we’re doing a lot right. As a one-location café/ restaurant with a 4.8 Google star rating, we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve built. But we also know there’s loads of room for improvement, and that’s exactly why we made the trip. ⭐️

Now we’re heading home absolutely buzzing. We’ve got renewed energy, heaps of enthusiasm, and a stack of new knowledge that will help us take things to the next level.

At the end of the day, none of this happens without you, our amazing customers. We are successful because of YOU. We are so grateful and you’re the reason we keep pushing ourselves to improve. We’re’re excited to make your experience with us even more awesome.
