What do you guys think ?
Food trucks were supposed to be the cheaper, more convenient alternative to sitting down in a restaurant.
Somewhere along the way a lot of them started charging full restaurant prices while still making you stand outside next to a parking lot.
$22 for a few tacos with no table, no real service, and no overhead of a brick-and-mortar space feels disconnected from the original idea.
Plenty of people have noticed the same shift. If the price is going to match a regular restaurant, the experience should too.
Right now a lot of food trucks are asking for the premium without delivering the value that used to justify the format.
