I took an online baking class taught by a very successful chef. I began thinking about the texture and complexity of flavors of my muffins and cookies that I have been putting in my gift boxes.

So last night I reengineered some recipes. The first is thIs fusion of my famous brownie and my signature cheese cake filled jumbo muffin. It is killer! It needs a humorous name.

My second dang good new muffin is a cheesecake filled banana crumble.

And the third and final muffin I baked last night is a drizzled cinnamon cheesecake.

They are going in the bereavement box I’m wrapping this morning.

Today I have the privilege of making another Moving Day Dinner for realtor, Kevin Jones, from Berkshire Hathaway. Today's menu is grilled teriyaki chicken, spinach/power greens salad with homemade maple balsamic vinaigrette, green beans, deep chocolate fresh baked brownies, the dinner rolls have not yet been picked up from the bakery. It all comes with recyclable dinnerware (so you don't have to find the box marked "DISHES" and lots of bottled water. Thank you Kevin!

It's a beautiful snowy day at the Soul Food Mountain Test kitchen. While my sous chef, Tex, is testing out the generator, I am making Chicken, Vegetable and Brown Rice soup thickened with garlic hummus.
