Why be into visiting Hop’s #7 (beside the fact that we have really good food)

Hop’s is all about supporting the little and the bigger critters of the world. We regularly have deer and we’ve had bear visit Hop’s. We installed a beer, proof, trash receptacle to prevent the bears from coming back for our trash. This is very important to protect the 🐻 bear population of the Red River Gorge area.

Be aware that when you visit Hop’s and enjoy the creek that it is a natural environment so there are always a possibilities of snakes and other insects that may sting/bite you.

So if you’re a nature lover, Hop’s is the place to be. Enjoy the evening you will get an opportunity to listen to the frogs.

Why come to Hop’s #6 (beside us having awesome food)

When you get a cocktail or ask for a lemon 🍋 for water you’ll get dehydrated fruit. Why dehydrated fruit? Dehydrating our fruit allows us to pick the juiciest citrus fruit. The dehydration process concentrates the flavor which is release when rehydrated. The other benefit is we don’t waste fruit!

Restaurant are notorious for food waste. To combat this, we 1) compost food scraps, 2) recycle our glass, cans, paper, and plastic, and 3) create our menu to minimize waste. Additional, we don’t use saran wrap or plastic cups. Hop’s “plastic” cups are all plant based. If you have been to Hop’s you’ve seen the solar panels too.

Save the date and bring your furry best friends out to Hop's Farm to Table Restaurant on Saturday, September 26th for a pet portrait session with Wes Allen Photography.

For $25, Wes will spend 10 minutes snapping amazing, one of a kind portraits of your pet/pets. All proceeds will go directly to Wolfe County Animal Shelter and help support animals in need in our community.

Complimentary coffee will be provided to all pet parents, thanks to Hop's.

Sign ups are recommended but not required.

Tourists and locals alike came together for an evening of rhythm and vibrations at Hop's. The sounds of reggae music echoed off the trees and along the creek bed from Kentucky's finest: PMAsound, DeepNourishedRootsBand, Bongolicious, and Fred Keams Native Flute.

It is no simple task to bring a production like this to the hills of Kentucky. A tremendous thank you to all who supported Reggae at the Gorge 2026!
