National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day is celebrated every year on August 4, and while no one knows exactly who started the holiday, we all know who gave us the cookie worth celebrating!

Back in 1938, Ruth Wakefield, owner of the Toll House Inn in Massachusetts, mixed chopped pieces of semi-sweet chocolate into her cookie dough, expecting them to melt. Instead, the chocolate stayed soft and delicious, creating the very first chocolate chip cookie!

The recipe became such a hit that it’s now one of the most loved cookies in the world—and every August 4, we get to celebrate it.

I’ll be celebrating with fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies and a few sweet surprises, so stay tuned! 🤎

It says a lot when you come to your nephew’s birthday party and your niece has made the birthday cake—not just this year, but for the last two years. ❤️

The cake was incredibly moist, absolutely delicious, and made with so much love and talent. I couldn’t be more proud of the amazing baker she’s becoming.

I already can’t wait for her to make the cake for our vow renewal… now we just have to get that celebration planned! 🎂💕 So proud to call her my niece.
