Coffee on the Porch- Camden, Maine Welcome to our FB page, dedicated to the businesses that carry our coffee as well as the beautiful town of Camden, where our coffee is roasted.

We don't have a store open to the public but those that carry our coffee are listed on our website.-Dan Dishner I have been around coffee my entire life. My Mom always had a fresh pot of coffee on the stove when I was growing up. As I recall, my Dad never turned down a cup of coffee and like most people of his generation, his coffee was Colombian and it came out of a can. Over the course of time, I realized that buying whole beans and grinding my own resulted in a better cup of coffee. Soon I was buying a couple different roasts and blending my own. I will never forget the day a friend brought me a bag of coffee that his Dad had roasted. From that moment forward I have sought to achieve the perfect cup of coffee by roasting my own beans. I have been doing this now for several years and I continue to learn something new everyday. If you like a good cup of coffee I think you will like Coffee on the Porch. I believe I have a roast that fills the spectrum of just about every coffee drinker. I think my Dad would really like my coffee too.

Downtown, Camden Deli and Buttermilk Kitchen- Good morning from the Coast of Maine. This is my last shot of September taken late yesterday afternoon. It was a busy day downtown and the SUV parked in front of Camden Deli pulled out of the parking space as I was walking past. Perfect timing! I love both of these buildings and the businesses inside of them even more.

How is everyone? It has been a very foggy start to the day but the sun appears to be burning through. I decided to stay home this morning and get caught up on coffee orders. I kept looking out the window thinking of all the photo possibilities. Oh well, coffee comes first! I’m enjoying a cup of El Oso at the moment, I bet it tastes even better on Schooner Ladona, Windjammer Angelique, and Schooner Lewis R. French! I just might fire up the espresso machine this afternoon and have an Orange Sunburst Espresso to celebrate the beautiful month of October!

The Smiling Cow- Good morning from the Coast of Maine. I took this shot yesterday evening as the clock struck 6:00. The rain had stopped earlier in the day and the wind had all but stopped as the sky was clearing. It was good to see people out and about enjoying the evening. Even with all of the wind and rain, it did not have much effect on the changing leaves. The Smiling Cow, still open!

How is everyone? Yesterday was a long day for me. I started early on an order that is still not quite finished but will be shipped out today. Belles Coffee is an incredible coffee story! Owner Isabelle turned a small utility trailer into a portable coffee shop. She came to our roasting room last year to pick up her first order. I can’t believe how much coffee we ship to her these days and this last order is huge! Belles Coffee is going to the Fryeburg Fair next week so if you attend, be sure and look her up!

Camden Harbor-Good morning from the Coast of Maine. Raining this morning. This shot I took back in October 2019 popped up in my feed several days ago and I thought I would share it once again. One of my favorite fall photos. I had already taken several shots when I saw the red boat coming towards me, perfect! Notice that Sail Grace Bailey, schooner Mercantile, and schooner Mistress, now the Schooner Firefly, under wraps and still in Camden Harbor. This makes me look forward to more fall foliage shots but this photo will never be repeated!

How is everyone? I woke up early this morning and decided I might as well get up and roast some coffee. I have several deliveries to make later today, Camden Deli and The Owl & Turtle Bookshop Cafe are both still cranking out the espressos! The rain has already slowed down a bit so I just might get a few photos in this afternoon.

Camden Harbor- Good morning from the Coast of Maine. I waited until it was lighter out before heading down to the harbor this morning. There was light rain and wind but so far everything seemed to be okay. The weather app says to expect rain for most of the week.

How is everyone? In honor of the last of the sailing season for the windjammers I am enjoying a cup of El Oso , The Schooner Roast, this morning. I don’t really know how many more trips, if any, are left for each windjammer but several are still ordering coffee! I noticed all of The Big Three were safe in Camden Harbor this morning.

On the Boardwalk- Good morning from the Coast of Maine. I had just delivered coffee to Peter Otts on the water when it started to sprinkle but not enough to keep me from getting a few after dark shots.

How is everyone? I think we dodged the storm. Still blowing but not enough to amount to much. We never lost our power and everything seems to be in place. Thanks to all of you for being part of this page!

Camden Public Library- Good morning from the Coast of Maine. I took this shot of the library while walking on one of the paths in Harbor Park. With beautiful views of Camden Harbor, as well as photos such as this, it certainly is a local treasure, as well as the library!

How is everyone, especially those in the path of the storm? There’s a slight breeze and the sun is still shining here. I have my mental list of things that need to be done, as well as things that would be nice to do but not as important. Of course coffee always comes first! I’ll be roasting this morning as I finish up my orders for the week. I delivered to Sail Grace Bailey last night, Schooner Lewis R. French, and Windjammer Angelique both need one more batch of El Oso! Our pallet of coffee greens are in the roasting room.
