💚 Tomorrow is the last day of our Mental Health Week at the Brickhouse.

And honestly, I’ve really loved this week.

Mental health and recovery are both really close to my heart, and I think sometimes we make things way more complicated than they need to be. Check on your people. Be kind. Tell somebody you’re proud of them. Sit with somebody when they’re having a hard day. Sometimes the little things really are the big things.

So tomorrow, come have lunch with us. ❤️

How are you, really?

Not the automatic “I’m good.”
Not the “just busy.”
Not the answer you give because you don’t want to bother anyone.

How are you really?

Today at Brickhouse, we’re keeping it simple.

We want you to tag the person who checks on you when they know “I’m fine” doesn’t actually mean I’m fine.

The friend who calls.
The coworker who notices.
The family member who just knows.
The person who sits with you without trying to fix everything.

Tag them and tell them thank you. 💚

And maybe today, be that person for somebody else.

Send the text.
Make the call.
Ask twice.

“Hey… how are you REALLY doing?”

Sometimes that little bit of connection matters more than we realize.

QUICK UPDATE BECAUSE YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING.

Since posting this, I've had a couple of pretty incredible people reach out who want to remain anonymous and purchase lunch for another person we draw. 😭

So... apparently we're buying MORE THAN ONE mental health/recovery professional lunch tomorrow!

And because people have asked how THEY can get involved too, here's what we're going to do:

TAG someone below who works in mental health or recovery = 1 entry for that person.

Come into Brickhouse tomorrow, purchase lunch, and give us the name of someone you'd like to nominate = that person gets 2 ENTRIES.

And if you'd simply like to pay it forward and purchase a lunch for one of our winners, you can do that too. Just let us know when you're in and we'll add another lunch to the number we're giving away.

I genuinely didn't expect other people to jump in and say, "Hey, I want to buy someone lunch too."
But THIS is exactly what I hoped this week would turn into.

September is Su***de Awareness Month, and we wanted to do something a little different at Brickhouse.

So next week, we’re dedicating the entire week to the people in our community who spend their days helping others through some of their hardest moments.

Counselors. Therapists. Social workers. Addiction specialists. Recovery professionals. Peer support specialists. Case managers. Support staff. 💚

And we’re doing something different EVERY DAY.

We’ll announce each day’s little thank-you as we go, but we’re kicking things off Monday with:

💚 MONDAY — 10% OFF YOUR ENTIRE ORDER
for anyone working in the mental health or recovery field.

No big catch. We just want to take a week and intentionally say thank you.

Meanwhile, absolutely no work is getting done because apparently candy corn is where we draw the line as a staff. 💀😂
